Important Studio Update
Studio Update: alleyCat Classes Conclude May 20
The past four years have been full of adaptation, change, loss, and acceptance. Though we’ve survived this far, the cost has been high. Like most yoga communities, the pandemic has significantly impacted our vitality and financial sustainability. Personally, it has cost me dearly — physically, mentally, and financially.
After much anguish and consideration under the guidance of my wisest mentors, it is clear it is time to let go. With great sadness, I am announcing that alleyCat Yoga will open its doors for the final time on May 20.
After four years of struggle, I must take time for intense mental and physical rest and look toward a new and sustainable path forward. I had hoped someone would emerge to take over the studio, but that is not a viable option with the pandemic’s complications. The time for advice and problem-solving has ended; it is time to let go.
This community has been the center of my world for nearly two decades, and letting go is the hardest decision I’ve ever made. However, know that this ending does not negate the depth and meaning of our shared practices. alleyCat has known many homes and chapters; know that as this chapter of alleyCat closes, the practice continues within each of us.
Thank you for your commitment to practice and for allowing us to guide you. The teachers and I are incredibly grateful for your support and presence as we navigated the turbulent waters of the past years. Know I will always hold you and our community deep within my heart. I share your shock and sadness even as I accept that it is time to let go.
