Find Space for Rest

Feb 24, 2022 | Classes and Special Events,

I look forward to my return to teaching next week after five challenging months of surgery recovery. Rest and restoration have taken center stage during my recovery; it has not been easy. Taking time to rest and restore is challenging in a world where constant engagement is the norm. The pull to do ‘just one more thing’ is strong, and self-care often falls to the bottom of our list.

The upcoming series, Deep Rest Restorative Yoga, highlights the benefits of support, stillness, and grounded opening. Restorative practices, breathwork, and savasana offer an opportunity to be gently held so we may find space to let it be, releasing tension in the body-mind.

Coming together with others, holding space while simultaneously being held, strengthens our individual and collective intention. This strength in community enhances the ability to let go of ‘one more thing’ and abide in the present.

There is so much to digest during these difficult days. Restorative Yoga provides an opportunity for needed rest and integration. Learn more and sign up here for this restorative series. Join me for this practice of self-care, inward exploration, and deep restoration.

Jai Bhagwan,
Susan
