Just Practice

Jan 04, 2024 | Reflections, Videos,

This weekend, I accidentally opened a door to the past. While updating my phone, I discovered 15 years of audio recordings, beginning with a practice class made for my 200-hour YTT (so young, so green and fresh)! By contrast, the final recordings were Yoga Philosophy lectures I delivered during YTT ten years later. I listened to myself speak about the profound teachings of Yoga to an eager group of teacher trainees. In my own voice, I laid out, step by step, how to access the essence of Yoga. The message is simply practice.

The heart of a yogi’s development is a regular practice commitment that allows the practice to bloom. In Kripalu Yoga, we describe three stages:

1–You DO Yoga. (you consciously move through postures).

2. You DO Yoga, Yoga DOES You (as you move through the practice, the practice moves you)

3- YOGA does YOU (absorption, presence, prana flows through you, as you).

Little by little, our practice grows when we show up just as we are, allowing Yoga to shift and move us.

I offer practice every Tuesday and Thursday mornings and Wednesday evenings. These all-level classes allow space to explore, breathe, and gaze inward. This week, I’m offering a gift to encourage your commitment. Enjoy this Free Kripalu Yoga Class recording, on-demand, for two weeks. If you prefer to join live, contact me for a Class Pass.

Here’s to more practice.
