Therapeutic Yoga is a specialized approach to healing that combines gentle and restorative yogic movements with breath-work, awareness, and assisted hands-on manual adjustments. It is different than physical therapy, or any other "treatment-focused" therapy, as it is designed to foster and promote your body’s own healing response, as opposed to “trying to fix” any problem or part of you. In this two-hour extended therapeutic yoga workshop, we will discuss and explore anatomy and the architecture of the feet and their importance in relationship to the rest of your body. Common pathologies, including plantar fasciitis, bunions, achilles tendinitis, and shin splints along with their causes will be addressed, and you will learn a home-practice therapeutic repertoire that will bring life and vitality to your feet and your overall structure.
