4 Week Series

This class is designed for the new yoga student wishing to start at the beginning and learn the foundations of yoga asana, breath work and philosophy. Offered as a 4-week series and designed for those who are new to the practices of yoga, the emphasis will be on learning yogic breathing and common yoga postures while developing body awareness. We will study alignment and techniques for common postures, building the practice from the ground up in a safe manner suitable to beginners.

A regular yoga practice allows you to:

  • establish a deeper inner spiritual connection
  • stabilize your emotional responses
  • develop focus and concentration
  • release stress
  • build strength
  • increase flexibility
  • improve your posture
  • prevent injuries
  • improve your mental outlook
  • strengthen your immune system

No previous experience is necessary. This class is for every body type, level of strength and flexibility. Come as you are.

$60 for the series  Registration is required.

Led by Glenda Schuster Moum, RYT 200

Glenda came to yoga as a means for injury recovery and increased flexibility and used her yoga practice for only that reason for a long time. As her life circumstances changed, she found several instructors that encouraged her move from the physicality of yoga into the mindful, spiritual peace of yoga. It is this peace that keeps Glenda practicing, learning, and sharing this peace with others. Glenda is a strong believer in the coordinated use of breath and movement; she believes that props and modifications are useful in making a regular yoga practice available to every body. Yoga is a journey, not a destination, and she invites you to journey with her wherever you are on your path.
