Therapeutic Yoga, From The Root to the Crown

Therapeutic Yoga is a practice that is designed to foster you body’s own healing response. Whether you suffer from a history of physical injury, emotional trauma, or simple have an interest in adapting postures to meet your body’s needs,Therapeutic Yoga is a practice designed to create balance and ease in the body and mind. In this series you will learn the fundamental techniques of Therapeutic Yoga. Each week we will address conditions in different areas of the body. 

Therapeutic Yoga has a history of assisting people to alleviate their pain and improving one’s quality of life. By making common postures more accessible, Therapeutic Yoga has helped people with many common conditions including:

  • anxiety
  • arthritis
  • depression
  • chronic/acute low back pain
  • high blood pressure
  • insomnia
  • post hip/knee replacement
  • frozen shoulder
  • sciatica
  • plantar fascitis
  • migraines/tension headaches
  • TMJ

During the 4-week series, we will address the following:

  • Low Back Pain
  • Knees and feet
  • Shoulders/Frozen Shoulder
  • Immunity Tonic for the Whole Body

Led by Brockell Briddle, RYT 500

Brockell is a passionate yoga teacher and bodyworker. She brings over a decade of study and practice to her students in both group and private settings. She is passionate about the practice of yoga as a tool for healing both physically and emotionally, and offers classes which address healing within the gross and subtle bodies. Brockell teaches through the lens of contemplation and seeks to bring awareness to internally held somatic patterns. As a dedicated student of Tias Little, her teaching style draws influence from her studies in the Iyengar Yoga method, Somatic Experiencing practices, Structural Integration, and anatomy.
