Life seems to move at an every increasing pace. This February, slow down and steep in the practice of self-care. Over the course of this yoga experience, you will learn nourishing and restorative practices that you can use as a resource both on and off the mat. Each week, we will open with a chant (mantra) that will serve as the doorway into meditation and movement practices. From week to week, we will explore nourishing therapeutic postures and breathing exercises coupled with a movement sequence. Sequences will range from traditional Hatha Yoga postures, restorative postures, and floor based sensory meditations with slow movement. Our final week together we will practice the art of Yoga Nidra. All bodies and levels of practitioners welcome.
Led by Brockell Briddle, RYT 500
Brockell is a passionate yoga teacher and bodyworker. She brings over a decade of study and practice to her students in both group and private settings. She is passionate about the practice of yoga as a tool for healing both physically and emotionally, and offers classes which address healing within the gross and subtle bodies. Brockell teaches through the lens of contemplation and seeks to bring awareness to internally held somatic patterns. As a dedicated student of Tias Little, her teaching style draws influence from her studies in the Iyengar Yoga method, Somatic Experiencing practices, Structural Integration, and anatomy.
