Restorative yoga is a specialized practice for those who desire deep relaxation, rest, nurturing and restoration. Restorative class will have a contemplative, restful energy and aim to enhance freedom in the body while calming the nervous system and grounding you energetically. This special manner of practicing utilizes bolsters, cushions, blankets and chairs to completely support the body through a selected sequence of postures. The body then deeply relaxes while the posture is being held. All of the benefits of yoga are received without any expenditure of energy.

Patty was originally drawn to the practice of yoga as a means of increased flexibility. It was the incredible peace, mindfulness and energy that comes along with it though that kept her coming back over and over again. Realizing that you don’t have to “be” anything other than who you are on any given day, Patty incorporates purposeful movement following the natural breath into each class. She provides options to allow each participant to listen to their body and realize that it is perfect just as it is today. “If you can breathe, you can do yoga”.
