Yin Yoga is a quiet practice which works the ligaments, tendons, fascia and joints. During a Yin practice, passive postures are held for 3-5 minutes each so that the muscles remain soft and the deeper connective tissues can be stretched.
Continuous Yin practice can lengthen this connective tissue and increase the body’s range of motion. A deeply meditative practice, Yin is appropriate for all ages and levels.
Brockell believes deeply in the healing power of yoga. As a longtime practitioner, she has studied under many teachers and schools of yoga. When her father had a stroke in 2010, she shifted her study and practice to explore Yoga Therapy as an integrated tool for rehabilitation. She has a passion for biomechanics, anatomy, and assisting others while facilitating in their healing process.
