Join us for an afternoon of learning the art of touch. This couples/partner massage class is based on simple, easy-to-learn Swedish and Thai massage techniques and is designed to help you and your partner share the nurturing, relaxing, therapeutic benefits of massage with each other. There will be time for each partner to receive a full hour of relaxing treatment! This class is appropriate for couples, friends, or individuals. Restorative yoga is a specialized practice for those who desire deep relaxation, rest, nurturing and restoration. Restorative class will have a contemplative, restful energy and aim to enhance freedom in the body while calming the nervous system and grounding you energetically. This special manner of practicing utilizes bolsters, cushions, blankets and chairs to completely support the body through a selected sequence of postures. The body then deeply relaxes while the posture is being held. All of the benefits of yoga are received without any expenditure of energy.

This class is perfect for the beginning yoga student wishing to build on the foundations of yoga asana practice and philosophy that was established in Yoga 101 or other new yoga students who wish to extend their knowledge. Offered as a 4-week series of classes and specifically designed for those who are new to yoga practice, new postures will be introduced each week, including posture alignment details, breathwork and introduction of simple meditation practices. Each week will include a full 60 minute practice along with 15 minutes of discussion of new postures and techniques. All postures will be appropriate for new and advancing beginners.
